Superstorm Sandy Batters the Northeast

Wind, rain, storm surge, snow and fire have decimated the northeast through Superstorm Sandy. Over 8 million people were without power across 11 eastern states. Whole communities lost while others face ongoing problems of looting and gang violence. Now as these communities struggle to provide relief and aid they are getting hit by yet another storm.

We are working on setting up Sandy relief trips to the Northeast. Currently we have four trips posted with the first trip departing this Sunday headed to the Bronx, NY. Over the next few weeks we are looking to send as many as we can to help in immediate response. As time progresses we hope to post more trips in the spring and summer to continue in aiding with the long-term cleanup and rebuilding.

Pray that God would lead us to the communities and organizations that he would have us work with. We want to follow His leading. Also pray that He would provide free/very low cost housing and food options for our teams so that we can send as many as possible. This is a time of brokenness and pain for so many and we are eager to mobilize the body of Christ to bring hope through love and service.
