...... This is what He is doing in Guatemala.

He is calling His sons and daughters home. 

The Vision

He told our team before we came that His heart was for Guatemala to be a sending country. A launching pad of laborers into the nations. He made it clear that this would happen through the process of discipleship. But then He didn’t give us much of the how or who.

He waited.

Why? Because first He had/has to take our team, each of us, deeper into His heart as a Father. How in the world would we help others know this scandalous love of the Father if we ourselves were not intimately acquainted with it?

That’s what the past several months have been about. Him taking us deeper. And now we understand why. 

Recently He has made it clear who, here in Guatemala, He wants us to disciple and eventually send out into the nations.

The Orphans

He isn’t interested in sending Christians to the nations. Frankly they don’t need us. They do however, desperately need Him. He is interested in sending sons and daughter to the nations as carriers of His heart as a Father so that those who don’t yet know His love would encounter it in a real way. 

So that is what the Lord is up to. He is taking us into His heart as a Father so that we might lead others into His heart as a Father and eventually that those might travel the globe and taking the heart of the Father with them.

That’s the vision, the mission statement, and the long term plan. It’s simple. 

Come in my son, my daughter. In my house are many rooms. Come and know me as your Father. Let me show you who I am. Let me sing out my love over you. Let me be your dad. It will change everything.
