If you are reading this I am assuming that you know me- at least in some capacity or that in your internet surfing quest you've randomly just stumbled upon my blog. Eaither way, welcome!. Maybe you've been walking through the past seasons of life with me; maybe you had a hand in raising me; maybe you are a dear friend from the past or a life anchor. Regardless I am thrilled to invite you a little deeper into my story and into the good plan that God has for my life.

After graduating college in 2010 I remained in Dahlonega to press into the Church there while continuing to work retail jobs. It was a very difficult season for me as I struggled so much with my identity and purpose in Christ. Working retail was less than fulfilling and I couldn't help but feel that there was something more that I was created to do. This overall discontentment lead me to pursue a Camp Director position with TEAMeffort for the summer. I quit my jobs, got out of my lease and headed with my team into the unknown of Arkansas. While there I was so sweetly reminded of my kingdom purpose and mission. I was reminded that I am a daughter of the King; that Christ himself dwells within me and that He has a great and wonderful plan for my life- a plan to prosper me and not to harm me, to give me a hope and a future. I distinctly remember early one morning around 7am as I was driving back from the hardware store, coffee in hand, where I thought "what a joy it is to work for the Lord. It's 7am. I'm running on little sleep and have a ton to do but what a joy it is to be free to serve Him and His kingdom." As the summer pressed forward I began thinking and praying about where the Lord might lead me next. With no job or housing lined up for the fall I returned to Gainesville entering into a season of waiting. It was another somewhat difficult season trying to figure out where to go and what to pursue. God reminded me often that He is sovereign and He is good. Even that the season of waiting is just as important as any other season as He is continually desiring to reveal more and more of himself to us. I found such peace in Isaiah 30:21 when the Lord says, "And you shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left."  So I began to pursue several different job opportunites trusting that as I moved forward the Lord would say this is the way or this is not the way. Slowly some doors began to close as others remained open. That leads me to where I am now, working for Adventures In Missions as a Project and Leader Developer in their short-term missions department.

I am still amazed at how blessed I feel to be here in this job. I am finding that my passions, giftings and wiring fit in so well with the role that God has given me. In my walk with the Lord I have always been a dreamer. Dreaming of what He could do. I love that here in my job I get to dream daily of what the Lord could do. How He might reveal Himself to those whom He has chosen. Join me in this great and new adventure of dreaming for the nations!
