Northeast Tour

Hello again from the road! Actually from the basement of a church in Johnstown PA. Two of my colleagues and I flew into Pittsburgh yesterday and will spend this week setting up 5 locations that we send teams to. We've been here in Johnstown all day today meeting with lodging contacts, nailing down dates and specifics and meeting with ministry partners. We even had the chance this evening to help serve a meal to the homeless at a partner church downtown. The Church that we are staying at here in Johnstown, Crucified Church, has a presense in some really neat communities including a skate park that they use for ministry. I'm excited to see what the Lord might do here through our teams. Tomorrow we head out early towards Harrisburg PA. We'll meet a contact there to hear about his heart for the refugee population there along with other opportunities. Then Saturday morning we will head to Philly to meet with our contacts there, discuss ministry, stop by a baby shower, do a little site seeing and then maybe catch dinner and a concert in town. Then Sunday morning we will swing into New Jersey to do a little work with Sandy Relief contacts- trying to nail down more specifics as we prepare for upcoming teams. Then we will make our way into New York trying to meet as many folks as we can and prayfully finding some inexpensive housing contacts (incredibly hard in the city!). Tons to get done over the next few days but we are enjoying ourselves and the Lord in the process. Please keep Tommy, Hannah and myself in your prayers as we seek the Lord's guidance and direction to where he would have teams go for the next year. We want to submit our plans and agendas before Him knowing that His purposes will stand. This can certainly be hard at times. Pray for grace and peace as we seek to do this!
